Auto Tab Grouper는 탭 그룹화에 필요한 정보를 사용자의 기기 안에서만 처리합니다. 개발자 서버로 사용자 데이터를 전송하거나 광고·분석·추적에 사용하지 않습니다.
처리하는 정보
- 탭 주소: 열린 탭의 주소에서 hostname과 도메인을 판별하기 위해 기기 안에서 처리합니다. 전체 URL, 경로, 검색어, 페이지 내용은 저장하지 않습니다.
- 사용자 설정: 그룹화 범위, 실행·일시정지 상태, 도메인 묶기 방법을 저장합니다.
- 도메인 규칙: 도메인, 그룹화 여부, 그룹 이름, 색상과 규칙 생성·수정·최근 확인 시각을 저장합니다.
- 세션 정보: 창별 탭 그룹을 안정적으로 관리하기 위해 창·도메인·탭 그룹 식별 정보의 연결 관계를 브라우저 세션 동안 저장합니다.
권한과 이용 목적
tabs: 열린 탭의 주소와 위치를 확인하고 탭을 그룹화·정렬합니다.tabGroups: 탭 그룹을 만들고 그룹 이름과 색상을 관리합니다.storage: 사용자 설정과 도메인 규칙을 브라우저에 저장합니다.
웹사이트 전체에 접근하는 host permission과 페이지 내용을 읽는 content script는 사용하지 않습니다.
저장 및 보관
사용자 설정과 도메인 규칙은 chrome.storage.local에 저장됩니다. 열린 탭이 없고 최근 확인 시각으로부터 30일이 지난 도메인 규칙은 저장된 그룹화 여부, 그룹 이름과 색상과 함께 자동으로 삭제됩니다. 세션용 그룹 식별 정보는 chrome.storage.session에 저장되며 브라우저 세션이 끝나면 유지되지 않습니다.
외부 전송, 공유 및 접근
사용자 데이터를 개발자 서버, 분석 서비스 또는 제3자에게 전송·공유·판매하지 않습니다. 광고, 사용자 추적, 프로파일링 또는 신용 평가에 사용하지 않으며 개발자가 사용자의 로컬 저장 데이터에 접근하지 않습니다.
데이터 삭제
열려 있는 관련 탭을 모두 닫은 뒤 설정 페이지에서 개별 도메인 규칙을 삭제할 수 있습니다. 열린 탭이 없는 도메인 규칙은 30일 동안 사용되지 않으면 자동으로 삭제됩니다. Chrome에서 확장 프로그램을 제거하면 확장 프로그램이 저장한 로컬 설정도 삭제됩니다.
보안 및 데이터 최소화
기능 제공에 필요한 최소 권한과 최소 정보만 사용합니다. 원격 코드를 불러오지 않으며 사용자 데이터를 외부로 전송하지 않습니다.

Google API에서 받은 정보의 사용은 제한적 사용 요건을 포함한 Chrome 웹 스토어 사용자 데이터 정책을 준수합니다.

Auto Tab Grouper Privacy Policy

Auto Tab Grouper processes information needed for tab grouping only on the user's device. It does not transmit user data to developer servers or use it for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Information processed
- Tab addresses: Tab URLs are processed locally to identify hostnames and domains. Full URLs, paths, search terms, and page content are not stored.
- User settings: Grouping scope, running or paused state, and domain grouping options are stored.
- Domain rules: Domains, grouping choices, group names, colors, and rule creation, modification, and last-seen timestamps are stored.
- Session information: Associations between window, domain, and tab-group identifiers are stored for the browser session to manage groups reliably in each window.
Permissions and purposes
tabs: Reads open-tab addresses and positions to group and arrange tabs.tabGroups: Creates tab groups and manages their names and colors.storage: Stores user settings and domain rules in the browser.
The extension does not request host permissions or use content scripts to read page content.
Storage and retention
User settings and domain rules are stored in chrome.storage.local. A domain rule with no open tabs is automatically deleted with its grouping choice, group name, and color 30 days after it was last seen. Session-only group identifiers are stored in chrome.storage.session and do not persist after the browser session ends.
Transmission, sharing, and access
User data is not transmitted to developer servers, analytics services, or third parties and is not shared or sold. It is not used for advertising, tracking, profiling, or credit assessment. The developer cannot access data stored locally in the user's browser.
Data deletion
After closing all related tabs, users can delete individual domain rules from the settings page. Domain rules with no open tabs are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity. Removing the extension from Chrome also removes the local settings stored by the extension.
Security and data minimization
Only the minimum permissions and information required for the feature are used. The extension does not load remote code or transmit user data externally.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use compliance
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
